John Chapter 9

Observations:

•  3 You are asking the wrong question - am I?

  o   You are looking for someone to blame - that’s our human nature

  o   Look instead for what God can do

  • 40 are we blind too?

    No, responsible/accountable  - that’s deep 

• 7 He went AND washed therefore he saw

  o   Obedience –otherwise he is the man with muddy eyes

  o   Sent about ½ mile to wash

  How get there? Led or on own?

• 20 What was it like for his parents when he was born blind?

  o   What was it like now with the miracle of sight?

• 22 Fear à kicked out of synagogue

  o   Son was 34

• 27 You haven’t listened - have I?

APPLICATION:

1.   Constant searching – leads to right questions, listening, sight, light and ultimately to what God is doing

2. Obedience – not partial – go AND wash so you can see — What AND am I missing?

PRAYER:

·        Lord, I’m still searching and I’m amazed at what I see.  Let me praise you continually today.
